Casablanca Gears Up for the 4th Edition of the Sidi Ali Tour on May 24

Exciting Cycling Event Set for May 24

On Sunday, May 24, Casablanca will host the much-anticipated fourth edition of the Sidi Ali Tour, a vibrant cycling competition organized by Sidi Ali in partnership with the Union Sportive de Casablanca (USC). This exhilarating event will take place along the picturesque Ain Diab corniche, starting at 8:00 AM. The tour is held under the auspices of the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation and is supported by Unlock Sports and the Casablanca-Anfa Prefecture.

The event is expected to attract over 400 participants from various backgrounds, including professional and amateur cyclists, youth, companies, and paracyclists. The main race will cover a distance of 54 kilometers on a closed circuit along the Casablanca corniche, consisting of three laps of 18 kilometers each. The route will link Sindibad to Morocco Mall and the Hassan II Mosque, before returning to Sindibad, ensuring a scenic and competitive environment for all cyclists.

A Tribute to Haj Lahcen Boutayeb

In an effort to make the event inclusive for a wide range of participants, several distances have been established: a 5 km race for children under 12, a 10 km race for those under 16, an 18 km route for the general public and paracycling, a 36 km race for professional and amateur women, and the challenging 54 km race for professional men, masters, and paracyclists. This edition of the Sidi Ali Tour pays homage to the late Haj Lahcen Boutayeb, the founding president of the Union Sportive de Casablanca and a prominent figure in Moroccan cycling history. The event continues Sidi Ali's commitment to promoting cycling in Morocco, particularly through the official Sidi Ali Unlock Pro Cycling team.
