Academy of Fashion Casablanca Unveils Next Generation of Designers at Graduate Show 2026

Celebrating Emerging Moroccan Fashion Talent

On June 16, 2026, the Academy of Fashion Casablanca (CMA) hosted its much-anticipated Graduate Show, themed "Becoming the Power of a New Generation." This vibrant event brings together students, professionals, partners, and media to showcase the culmination of the students' hard work and creativity through their final projects. It represents a significant milestone in the academic year and highlights the originality and technical skills of Morocco's rising fashion designers.

The evening kicked off with an innovative performance titled BECOMING, where second-year students from the Fashion Design and Styling program presented sculpted costumes made from lace remnants. This unique fashion show was complemented by a tailored choreography performed by dancers from the F.O.L, under the direction of Angela Stepanova. This captivating fusion of textile and movement provided the audience with a truly immersive experience.

Following this breathtaking performance, the audience was introduced to collections from students specializing in Fashion Design and Industrial Creative Modeling. These thoughtfully curated collections addressed a variety of themes, including personal identity, transformation, memory, and the interplay between tradition and modernity. Each silhouette showcased on the runway reflected a comprehensive creative process, from concept development to material selection, volume creation, pattern drafting, and finishing touches.

Nacer Slaoui, the President of the Academy of Fashion Casablanca, expressed a strong vision for the future, stating, "Through this Graduate Show, we affirm a bold ambition; to evolve 'Made in Morocco' into 'Designed and Made in Morocco.' By placing creativity and innovation at the heart of our value chain, we are not just producing; we are designing." This initiative is a key aspect of a public-private partnership between the state and the Moroccan Association of Textile and Clothing Industries (AMITH), aiming to cultivate a new generation of professionals capable of elevating Moroccan fashion on the global stage.
