Adelte Secures Contract for Passenger Boarding Bridges at Tangier Ville Port

Adelte Awarded Tangier Ville Port Contract

In a significant development for Morocco's maritime infrastructure, Adelte has been awarded a contract by the Société de Gestion du Port de Tangier Ville (SGPTV) for the design, manufacturing, and installation of a state-of-the-art passenger boarding system at the renowned Tangier Ville Port. This ambitious project is slated for completion by 2027 and aims to enhance the passenger experience at one of the Mediterranean's most iconic cruise terminals.

Located at the heart of the Bay of Tangier and in direct connection with the historic Medina, the port offers cruise passengers a uniquely rapid and efficient way to access the city, allowing them to disembark and reach the city center in mere minutes. The newly designed boarding system is expected to further improve passenger comfort, operational efficiency, and overall user experience at the terminal.

Innovative Boarding Solution

The innovative solution will utilize Adelte's Argos model, a self-propelled telescopic boarding bridge that facilitates seamless transportation between cruise ships and the shore. This advanced system operates on rails and features two extensive tunnel sections that extend from the cruise ship's access point to the dock level. Equipped with cutting-edge sensor technology and electromechanical actuators, the system is capable of actively compensating for the ship's movements, ensuring a safe, smooth, and comfortable boarding and disembarking process under various operational conditions.

This recent contract further solidifies Adelte's longstanding presence and commitment to the development of port infrastructure in Morocco. Upon the completion of the Tangier Ville project, Adelte will have delivered a total of 15 passenger boarding systems since 2002, enhancing facilities across key Moroccan ports, including Tangier Ville, Tangier Med, Nador, and Casablanca. This reflects the company's unwavering dedication to modernizing and improving maritime passenger facilities throughout the country.
