Bayern Munich Nears Signing of Ismael Saibari as Transfer Talks Conclude Positively

Bayern Munich Set to Secure Ismael Saibari

In a significant turn of events, Bayern Munich appears poised to finalize the acquisition of their desired player, Ismael Saibari, as negotiations have reportedly reached a successful conclusion. According to reports from both the "Bild" newspaper and the French outlet "Foot Mercato," the German giants have verbally agreed on terms with the management of PSV Eindhoven. Notably, esteemed Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has indicated that the transfer will be officially confirmed following medical examinations scheduled to take place in the United States.

The financial details reveal that Bayern Munich will pay just under €55 million for the talented Moroccan international, who currently has a contract with PSV that extends until the middle of 2029. It appears that Saibari has already reached an agreement regarding the terms of his future contract with Bayern, which is set to last until 2031. Thus, only the formal contract signing and medical check remain to be completed.

Saibari's Impressive Track Record and Versatility

To facilitate the transfer, Saibari will meet with the medical team from Bayern in the United States. Notably, Dr. Jochen Hahne, the club's doctor, is currently accompanying the Moroccan national team as they compete in the World Cup being held across the USA, Mexico, and Canada. Saibari recently showcased his skills by scoring a goal in Morocco's opening match against Brazil, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Saibari's journey began in the summer of 2020 when he transitioned from the U21 team of KRC Genk to the second squad of PSV Eindhoven. He made his way up to the first team by the summer of 2022, and in the past season, he made a significant impact by scoring 15 goals and providing eight assists in 27 league appearances. His prowess was also evident in the Champions League, where he netted three goals in seven matches, attracting attention from various clubs.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Bayern was keen on reaching a swift agreement, particularly as Saibari, standing at 1.85 meters tall, offers versatility in his playing style. He can operate effectively on the offensive wing or as a striker, although he is most comfortable in an attacking midfield role.

Furthermore, reports indicate that Bayern Munich has a summer transfer budget of €100 million, with plans to acquire both an offensive player and a full-back. With Saibari's impending signing, one target has already been secured. Additionally, there have been discussions regarding a potential move for Nathaniel Brown, a player currently with Eintracht Frankfurt, who impressed during the DFB team's World Cup opener. A transfer fee of around €55 million has been suggested for Brown, and according to "Bild," an agreement between Bayern and Frankfurt has been reached.
