Enrollment for INAU Rabat Entrance Exam 2026/2027: Everything You Need to Know

Overview of the INAU Entrance Exam for the Academic Year 2026/2027

The registration process for the entrance exam to the National Institute of Urban Planning and Development (INAU) in Rabat for the academic year 2026/2027 is officially underway. Established in 1981, INAU is a prestigious public higher education institution dedicated to training high-level professionals in the fields of urban planning and development. This year marks an important opportunity for aspiring students to join a program that prepares them for impactful careers in urban development and territorial planning.

INAU offers three distinct training cycles: a comprehensive higher education cycle culminating in a diploma (DINAU, Bac+5), a specialized master's cycle for urban planners, and a doctoral cycle. The entrance exam is specifically for candidates seeking admission to the DINAU Bac+5 program, which is highly regarded in the field.

Eligibility Criteria and Registration Process

To be eligible for the entrance exam, candidates must meet several criteria: they must be Moroccan nationals, have a maximum age of 21 at the time of the exam, and hold a Baccalauréat or an equivalent diploma in one of the following streams: Physical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Economic Sciences, Life and Earth Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, or Applied Sciences. Additionally, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 12 out of 20 on both the regional and national Baccalauréat exams.

Foreign candidates are also encouraged to apply, with a quota of 10% of the total spots available specifically reserved for them, provided they hold the necessary authorization from the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI). Before proceeding with online pre-registration, candidates must pay a participation fee of 100 DH through a bank transfer, using the provided banking details.

The online pre-registration portal will be open from June 17 to July 17, 2026, until 4 PM. Candidates are urged to complete their registration early to avoid last-minute congestion on the website. The preliminary selection will be based on the overall average of the Baccalauréat, calculated equally from both regional and national exam scores. The top 10,000 candidates, along with those who have the same average as the 10,000th candidate, will be invited to confirm their selection and participate in the written exams.

Results of the preliminary selection will be announced on July 27, 2026, both at INAU and on its official website. Candidates who successfully pass this stage will confirm their selection from August 17 to August 27, 2026. Following this confirmation, 3,000 candidates will be invited to take the written exams scheduled for September 6, 2026, at 9:30 AM, hosted at Ibn Tofail University in Kénitra.

The written exams will consist of a synthesis text and an analysis and commentary of statistical data or graphical representations, each lasting one hour. After the written exams, a maximum of 500 candidates will be selected for the oral examination, which will take place on September 21 and 22, 2026, starting at 8 AM at INAU. Candidates must bring their national ID (CIN) for verification. Ultimately, 35 candidates will be admitted based on merit and will be invited for final registration in the first year of the DINAU program. A waiting list will also be established and communicated to candidates.

Final results will be displayed on September 24, 2026, at INAU and on the institution's website. This entrance exam represents a significant step for many aspiring urban planners, offering them the chance to gain valuable education and training in a vital sector.
