German Traveler Arrested at Cologne Bonn Airport Before Flight to Morocco

Arrest at Cologne Bonn Airport

The journey of a 30-year-old German national came to an abrupt end late Friday evening, June 12, at Cologne Bonn Airport, just before he was set to board a flight to Morocco. During the border police exit control, federal officers discovered multiple outstanding warrants against him. Upon checking his identification, they uncovered that a judicial arrest warrant had been issued for the man, which raised serious concerns regarding his impending travel.

In addition to the arrest warrant, there was also a seizure order related to asset confiscation linked to drug offenses, with outstanding monetary claims amounting to approximately €21,000. This alarming discovery led the federal police officers to detain the traveler prior to his scheduled departure. In the course of their investigative measures, the authorities seized cash that he was carrying, totaling €1,995.

Following the completion of police procedures, the arrested individual was handed over to the police custody service in Cologne for further processing. This incident highlights the rigorous efforts of the federal police to enforce the law and prevent individuals with serious legal issues from leaving the country.
