The International Film Festival of Marrakech has officially announced the organization of its fifth Cinematic Critique Workshop, scheduled to take place on July 15 and 16 in Casablanca. This initiative is aimed at professional journalists specializing in culture and cinema in Morocco and is part of the "Atlas" program, designed to bolster training and enhance the cinematic skills of Moroccan, Arab, and African professionals. Renowned French critic and researcher Charles Tesson will lead the workshop, which will delve into various topics such as the history of cinematic critique, its ethical considerations, textual analysis, specialized writing, and conducting interviews with filmmakers. The organizers have confirmed that participation is free of charge, and sessions will be conducted in both Arabic and French, with simultaneous translation provided for attendees.
