King Mohammed VI Observes Eid al-Adha at Fes Mosque

On the morning of May 27, 2026, in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid, and Prince Moulay Ahmed, performed the Eid al-Adha prayer at the Fes Mosque located in the historic Mechouar district of Rabat. This occasion was marked by the presence of large crowds of citizens who gathered to offer their congratulations and share in the joy of Eid al-Adha with their king, creating a scene filled with happiness and loyalty.

Upon arriving at the mosque, the king was greeted with an official salute from a contingent of the royal guard, before proceeding to lead the prayer amidst a distinctive spiritual ambiance. During the sermon, the preacher emphasized the significant meanings of this religious event, recalling the story of the Prophet Ibrahim and his son Ismail, which embodies the values of sacrifice, altruism, solidarity, and generosity inherent in the practice of Eid al-Adha.

After the prayer, members of the Islamic diplomatic missions accredited in Morocco came forward to greet the king and extend their best wishes for Eid al-Adha. Following this, His Majesty partook in the traditional ritual of sacrificing an animal, in accordance with the noble traditions of the Prophet Muhammad.
