Libyan Parliament Engages in International Economic Dialogue
A delegation from the Libyan Parliament, led by the Second Deputy Speaker, Msabih Douma Ouhida, actively participated in the second session of the "Marrakech Economic Parliamentary Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Regions," held in Marrakech, Morocco, on June 19 and 20. This forum serves as an international parliamentary platform aimed at fostering partnerships between parliaments in the Euro-Mediterranean region and Gulf countries, while also supporting economic and developmental cooperation among participating nations.
The Libyan delegation included the head of the Libyan branch in the Mediterranean Parliament, Deputy Rapporteur of the House of Representatives, Sabah Jumaa, along with parliamentary members Abu Al-Khair Al-Shaab and Muhammad Mattuq Ajdied. Upon their arrival in Morocco, the Libyan delegation was welcomed by the President of the Moroccan House of Councillors, Muhammad Waled Al-Rashid.
The Marrakech forum addresses various critical issues, including enhancing joint investments, achieving food and energy security, and tackling the challenges posed by climate change. Additionally, it explores mechanisms to support trade integration and promote sustainable economic development across the region.
