Morocco's ONCF Unveils Special Summer 2026 Travel Initiative

As Morocco gears up for the bustling summer travel season, the National Railway Office (ONCF) has unveiled its special "Summer 2026" operational plan designed to cater to the anticipated increase in passenger traffic throughout the country. This initiative will be in effect from June 22 to September 13, featuring enhanced train services, attractive promotional fares, and improved customer support measures for travelers, including Moroccans residing abroad (MREs) and international tourists.

According to ONCF, all necessary human, technical, and operational resources have been mobilized to ensure a smooth, safe, and comfortable travel experience during this peak period. The railway operator aims to run an impressive total of 237 trains daily across its network, with additional capacity allocated on routes that are expected to see the highest demand.

Enhanced Services on Al Boraq, Al Atlas, and TNR Networks

The high-speed Al Boraq service is set to operate 30 daily round trips connecting Tangier, Kenitra, Rabat, and Casablanca from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., providing hourly departures and increased capacity during peak travel times. In addition, Al Atlas trains will offer 70 daily connections to facilitate heightened summer mobility. ONCF has also announced extra overnight services along the Tangier–Oujda route and more train connections between Safi and Benguerir to accommodate travelers.

For those traveling to and from Mohammed V International Airport, the Rapid Shuttle Trains (TNR) will provide 36 daily services, with hourly departures operating from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. to and from Casablanca. Regular services on routes connecting Casablanca with Rabat, Kenitra, Settat, and El Jadida will continue without interruption, ensuring comprehensive coverage for travelers.

Attractive Discounts for Summer Travelers

To further support summer travel, ONCF is introducing a range of promotional offers tailored to various passenger categories. A total of 250,000 YALLA AL ATLAS tickets will be available at a promotional fare of MAD 49, contingent on advance booking. Additionally, the digital-only SAYFI Pass will provide a substantial 30% discount on ten trips aboard Al Boraq, Al Atlas, and TNR trains during off-peak hours.

Moroccans living abroad will benefit from the Ahlan Family offer, which extends a 30% discount and free travel for children, applicable for journeys departing from Mohammed V Airport, Tangier, and Marrakech stations to various destinations across Morocco. Furthermore, ONCF is introducing a new 31–59 Age Card, which offers holders a 15% discount on Al Boraq and Al Atlas tickets. Group travelers will also enjoy discounts of up to 25%.

In collaboration with various partners, train ticket holders will be entitled to discounts of up to 30% at the Rabat Zoo, conveniently located near the Rabat Hay Riad station, as well as on the “Train + Car” service. To ensure the success of this summer operation, ONCF is reinforcing its reception, assistance, and guidance teams at stations and on trains. Furthermore, technical teams will be on duty 24/7 throughout this period to guarantee service reliability and operational continuity.

Passengers are encouraged to plan their trips ahead by purchasing round-trip tickets and utilizing digital booking channels to avoid long queues at stations. Tickets can be conveniently obtained through the ONCF Voyages website and mobile application, as well as from ticket offices, self-service machines, and partner agencies. This comprehensive approach aims to streamline the travel experience for all passengers during this peak season.
