According to a security source, the investigation was initiated after a victim reported that five minors had offered to assist her in reaching her accommodation at a guesthouse located in one of the neighborhoods of the old city. However, the circumstances of the situation took a troubling turn during their journey. The source indicated that the suspects took advantage of the deserted area, where some of them began to harass and disturb her. This alarming behavior prompted the victim to approach the police and file a formal complaint regarding the incident.
In response to her report, police officers commenced field investigations backed by technical data that enabled them to identify one of the offenders and apprehend him promptly near the scene of the incident. Initial investigations revealed the identities of the other four individuals, who were subsequently arrested. It is noteworthy that all parties involved are minors.
After the arrested individuals were presented to the tourist, she confirmed their identities, leading to the preparation of legal reports. The suspects were then referred to the judicial police department of the Marrakech security division under the direction of the competent public prosecutor, for further investigation and necessary legal actions, with the presence of their guardians.
