On June 8, 2026, a significant follow-up meeting was convened in Agadir to assess the progress of various strategic projects and investments initiated by the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) and its subsidiaries within the Souss-Massa region. The meeting was presided over by Saïd Amzazi, the wali of the Souss-Massa region and governor of the Agadir-Ida Outanane prefecture, alongside Khalid Safir, the general director of CDG. This gathering provided an opportunity to review the status of several major projects that align with the ongoing development dynamic in the region. Furthermore, it allowed for a thorough examination of the technical and financial aspects of these initiatives.

The discussions prominently featured several key projects, including the Haliopolis & Agropôle industrial hub, the Souss-Massa Industrial Acceleration Zone, the Agadir dry port project, and the Laqliaâ industrial zone located in the Inzegane-Aït Melloul prefecture. Additional topics of discussion encompassed the marine aquaculture hub project in Tiguert, the Agadir Tech Valley initiative, the Imi Ouaddar tourist station project, and the components relating to real estate and tourism at Taghazout Bay.

Participants highlighted the strategic importance of these projects in enhancing the attractiveness of the Souss-Massa region, fostering investment, generating employment opportunities, and improving the competitiveness of the local economy. This aligns with the Royal High Directions aimed at promoting sustainable and integrated territorial development. The meeting was attended by the governor of the Inzegane-Aït Melloul prefecture, the president of the Souss-Massa regional council, as well as various officials and stakeholders involved in the projects under review.
