The security forces in Marrakech have apprehended Zakaria Belqadi, widely recognized among the supporters of Raja Casablanca by the nickname “The Squadra.” This arrest is connected to an ongoing investigation into the violent incidents that occurred during the classic match between Royal Army and Raja Casablanca.
According to information obtained by Info Sports, Belqadi was transferred to the city of Rabat, where he is scheduled to be presented before the relevant authorities on Friday, June 19, to initiate the legal proceedings related to the case.
The incidents in question stem from the confrontation that took place between Royal Army and Raja Casablanca during the 17th round of the professional league, held at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat. The match was marred by violent clashes among fans, which were captured in videos that circulated widely across media outlets and social media platforms.
It is noteworthy that the match concluded with a victory for Royal Army, defeating Raja Casablanca with a score of two goals to one.
