National Theater Festival Celebrates Young Talent
The prestigious Grand Prize of the National Festival for Middle School Theater, set for 2026, has been awarded to the play "A Flower Without a Season," presented by the Al-Sharaf Middle School, which is part of the Regional Academy for Education and Training in the Marrakech-Safi region. This accolade was bestowed during a closing ceremony held at the Mohammed V National Theater in Rabat, marking a significant achievement for the young performers involved.
This remarkable event, organized by the Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports in collaboration with the Aisel Theater and Cultural Activities Association, took place from May 19 to 23 and featured participation from 12 public educational institutions representing various regions across the kingdom. The festival served as a platform for showcasing the artistic talents of students and promoting the importance of cultural education within schools.
During the ceremony, an additional 12 awards were distributed, recognizing a wide array of artistic and creative aspects. These included special jury awards, excellence in acting, awards for scenography, costumes, as well as honors for research in theater, dramatic interpretation, ensemble coherence, writing, directing, creativity, and educational discourse. This recognition underscores the dedication of young talents to the performing arts and highlights the ministry's commitment to supporting extracurricular activities that enrich educational experiences.
The festival not only celebrated the achievements of the award-winning teams but also served as a vital reminder of the significance of nurturing artistic expression among students.
