Empowering Women: The 4th Edition of the Women Summit 2026 in Casablanca

Under the Honorary Presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem

The 4th edition of the Women Summit, themed "Atlantic Initiative: Women Driving Africa’s Inclusive & Sustainable Growth," is set to take place on June 25 and 26, 2026, in Casablanca, Morocco. This prestigious event, held under the honorary presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Meryem, aims to enhance cooperation, connectivity, and shared development among African countries along the Atlantic façade, aligning with the strategic vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

Continuing the longstanding commitment of the Startup Grow Foundation and Growth Women towards women's empowerment, the Atlantic Initiative serves as a dynamic space for economic opportunities, innovation, and regional integration. The summit emphasizes the vital role women play in shaping a shared future as agents of transformation, innovation, leadership, and collective prosperity.

A Pan-African Platform for Influence and Impact

The Women Summit has established itself as one of Africa's leading platforms dedicated to female leadership, innovation, and economic inclusion. More than just an event, it offers a strategic dialogue space for cooperation and mobilization among stakeholders engaged in transforming the continent. The summit will bring together public decision-makers, business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, diplomats, representatives from international institutions, civil society actors, and opinion leaders from Africa and the diaspora, fostering sustainable partnerships and generating concrete solutions to development challenges.

Notably, the summit will feature the official participation of Her Excellency Madame Zita Oligui Nguema, the First Lady of Gabon, as the Guest of Honor, alongside various female ministers from African countries such as Liberia and Guinea. Delegations of female African entrepreneurs will also attend, particularly from Gabon.

High-profile guest speakers will discuss the opportunities presented by the African Atlantic space regarding economic growth, regional integration, investment, innovation, and South-South cooperation. Discussions will cover key topics such as female leadership in governance and public policy, technological innovation including artificial intelligence and digital transformation, women's entrepreneurship and access to financing, blue economy opportunities, green economy and sustainable growth models, economic inclusion of women and youth, and skills development for future jobs.

The summit will also host the second edition of the Ubuntu Awards, honoring women, men, institutions, and initiatives that significantly contribute to the continent's economic, social, and human development. Inspired by the Ubuntu philosophy of "I am because we are," these awards celebrate excellence, innovation, civic engagement, solidarity, and sustainable impact. Launched in 2025, this pan-African initiative aims to highlight the builders of Africa's future and showcase concrete actions that positively transform communities across the continent.

With a rigorous selection process, the Ubuntu Awards will recognize initiatives, personalities, and organizations whose commitment contributes to sustainable development, inclusion, and the empowerment of women and youth in Africa. Nominations will be evaluated by a multidisciplinary jury comprised of distinguished figures from institutional, academic, economic, media, and civil society sectors, recognized for their expertise and dedication to the continent's development.
