French-Algerian Woman Arrested at Marrakech Airport for Offensive Social Media Posts

The security forces at Marrakech Menara Airport have intervened to halt the departure of a 30-year-old French citizen of Algerian descent. She was arrested under suspicion of being involved in the dissemination of digital content that included insults directed at Moroccan citizens, as well as defamation and disrespect towards a public institution protected by law. The available information indicates that the suspect published posts and videos on her social media accounts that contained derogatory statements about Moroccans. Additionally, she made direct accusations against public officials, alleging bribery and preferential treatment in the execution of their duties related to traffic law enforcement.

In response to these actions, the relevant authorities initiated a judicial inquiry under the supervision of the public prosecutor's office, which led to the issuance of a national search warrant for the individual in question. She was subsequently apprehended at Marrakech Menara Airport while preparing to leave the country on a flight bound for France. Currently, the suspect is being held in police custody as part of the ongoing investigation conducted by the municipal judicial police of Marrakech. This investigation aims to uncover all circumstances surrounding the case and to determine the motives and backgrounds related to the actions attributed to her.
